The vision

Every tool, one connected index.

n3os started as a directory. It's becoming the place tools actually live — discovered, used, and eventually built, all in one connected system instead of a dozen disconnected tabs.

Every tool, fully indexed

Real descriptions. No dead links.

Every entry gets a proper detail page — what it does, who it's for, and a direct link to the tool itself. We write the summary ourselves, by hand, after actually trying it.

Questions

Good to know.

The short version of everything people usually ask us.

Browsing the directory at tools.n3os.com is free today and does not ask for a card. We are building toward paid plans for what comes next, and pricing will be announced before anything is charged for. We are deliberately not promising 'free forever': it is the kind of promise that gets quietly broken, and we would rather tell you now.

Every tool is checked by an automated algorithm before it is listed, and again on a schedule afterwards — the check confirms the product's own site still responds and still names the product, which is what catches a dead link or a product that has quietly been acquired. Each tool page shows the date of its last check and what it found. The write-up on top of that is ours, written by hand. No submission fees, no automatic listing just because a tool exists, and money never buys a listing or a better position.

That the product's own site answers, and that the page still names the product. That is deliberately narrow, and it is what catches the failure a directory actually has: a link that died, a domain that lapsed, or a product that was acquired and folded into something else months ago while its listing carried on looking authoritative. It does not test that a tool is any good, that its pricing is current, or that our write-up is still accurate — those are editorial and they can go stale, which is what the contact page is for.

Yes — reach out through the contact page with a link and a short description of what it does. We read every submission, though we can't guarantee a listing.

A small set of tools built by us that run in the browser — free, no sign-up. To be clear about what that is not: the tools in the directory are other companies' products and stay on their own sites. We are not going to run someone else's software for you, and anyone promising that has not checked whether they can. We don't publish hard dates we might miss — the notify form below is the fastest way to hear when something ships.

No, and there is no arrangement under which we would. Browsing still needs no account and stores nothing that identifies you. Accounts are open now, and if you create one we store the email address you sign in with, a username if you set one, and an identifier from the provider you chose - never a password, because sign-in is a one-time email link or Google or GitHub, so we never receive one. The newsletter and the contact form each hold the address you give them and nothing else. We run no advertising cookies. We count how many times each page is opened per day ourselves, with no cookie and no identifier, so two people visiting once and one person visiting twice are indistinguishable to us. We also use Google Analytics, but only if you accept it in the banner - decline and no Google script loads at all. The privacy policy lists every company that processes any of it on our behalf.
